Parthiv Patel – The wicketkeeper-batsman from Gujarat made his international debut in 2002 against England at the age of 17. Although he has made sporadic appearances for the national team after losing his place in 2004, Parthiv has been plying his skills consistently for his state side across formats. He has evolved his technique behind the stumps and is a dependable top-order batsman.

A delight to watch, the left-hand batsman sports healthy averages across formats and has kept himself in the reckoning with his performances.

In what was one of the most successful seasons for the wicketkeeper-batsman he was recalled for Tests against England in November 2016 when Wriddhiman Saha suffered an injury. After playing in three Tests, he led Gujarat to their maiden Ranji Trophy title in 2016-17. In the preceding seasons Gujarat also won the Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali titles under his leadership.
