R Ashwin to replace injured Ravindra Jadeja

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named R Ashwin as the replacement for injured Ravindra Jadeja in the Rest of India squad for the Paytm Z R Irani Cup. Mr. Jadeja suffered a side strain and has been adviced rest.

Mr. Ashwin missed the recently concluded Paytm Prof D B Deodhar Trophy as he was adviced a week's rest. He has now recovered and is declared fit to play.

The Rest of India will face Vidarbha, the Paytm Ranji Trophy champions in Nagpur from March 14-18, 2018.

BCCI announces new contract system for Indian Cricket

A new category (A+) is introduced for Team India Men and (C) for Team India Women. The Domestic Match fee structure will witness an over 200 per cent hike in each category.

The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) for BCCI on Wednesday announced the Annual Player Contracts for the period from October 2017 to September 2018. The CoA was of the view that the performance and position of Indian Cricket needs to be recognised with the fee structure comparable to the best in the world.

The highlights of the new payment structure are as under-

The CoA recognises that the actual income of the BCCI fluctuates on an annual basis depending on the number of home matches Team India (Senior Men) plays. Hence, to insulate the player compensation, the CoA has sanctioned the creation of a Players Revenue / Compensation Equalization Fund” (PR/CEF) to which the BCCI will contribute approximately INR 125 Cr per annum from its surplus .
