BCCI issues timeline for IPL Media Rights Invitation to Tender (ITT)

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced the timeline for Indian Premier League Media Rights ITT (2018-2022).

The timeline for the ITT is as under:

The IPL Governing Council at its meeting held on July 11, 2017 evaluated the IPL Media Rights ITT and reconfirmed that the existing BCCI tender process is the best approach, both in terms of absolute transparency and a free and fair price discovery, for the IPL Media Rights.

NOTE: The entities that had purchased the tender documents of the IPL Media Rights, which was earlier scheduled to be held on October 25, 2016, will be provided the tender documents of present IPL Media Rights on its release without any additional cost/charges.

BCCI welcomes CSK, RR back into IPL

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday welcomed the Indian Premier League franchises – Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals – back into the League.

The two franchises have completed the two-year suspension imposed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court appointed Justice (Retd.) Lodha Committee and will now participate in the Indian Premier League.

Acting President of the BCCI, Mr. CK Khanna said: “VIVO IPL will be enriched by the return of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Both the teams have enjoyed tremendous on-field success and have a mass following. The loyal fans will again get to see their favourite teams and stars in action from the upcoming season of the VIVO IPL.”

Mr. Rajeev Shukla, Chairman – IPL, said: “It is my privilege to welcome back our franchisees, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, into the 11th edition of the IPL. We have had a strong working relationship with Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals and hope that we can continue to build upon the close ties that we have enjoyed in the past, as we move towards the next edition of the league.”
